The story is a murder mystery. A young woman is missing from her home town and the Police delay in beginning a search for her. When she is finally found, her body in a local lagoon, there is further procrastination and eventually her brother calls in a Private Investigator. The story centres around the facts he learns and the eventual solution to the mysterious death of Abbey Day.
